On Thursday, July 2, 2026, Mr. Luc Lutala, Founder of JUA University, and Mr. Albert Boliko, Co-founder of the University, were received for a working session at the Presidency of the Republic by Mr. Tosi MPanu MPanu, Senior Advisor to the Head of State in charge of the Environment, Climate, and Economy College, before continuing discussions with a panel of advisors including Mrs. Goretie, Mr. Nyolo, and Advisor Mr. Mbala.
For nearly two and a half hours, the discussions focused on the major challenges facing the Democratic Republic of Congo in terms of sustainable development, climate resilience, national skills training, and the enhancement of natural capital.
On this occasion, the delegation from JUA University presented its vision of a university focused on action, innovation, and serving local communities, as well as its complementarity with the National Ecovillage Program, supported by the NGO Hope For All.
This integrated approach aims to train a new generation of leaders, develop living laboratories of territorial innovation, and contribute to the implementation of concrete solutions in favor of ecological transition, green entrepreneurship, and local development.
These exchanges have made it possible to identify several avenues of collaboration aimed at strengthening national capacities, promoting applied research, and mobilizing partnerships around structuring projects in the service of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
